Autumn / Winter 2019 : The Overcoat

Autumn/Winter is the most fun season for fashion. I personally love layering up, mixing tones and textures and I love to improvise.

If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen me wear some of this seasons must have's, namely; all things Animal Print, from leopard to python (snake). If there is one print to own, it's leopard. Other pattern is Check, as well as floral, going girls is big! You can blend them all together, although that has been the go for the last few seasons, it is much more daring and it really is all about the Clash! When my mum saw one of my blended outfits the other day, she said you do not wear the two together, that is a traditional formula, now, this season, anything goes!

Tones are Yellow (yolk), Citrus, Browns and Beige, lots and lots of Beige.

A must have piece, The Overcoat! Leather is the most popular, also the most expensive. I invested in faux suede, far more affordable and versatile.

I went for two tone camel colour. In these images, I wore the coat as a dress paired with python print pumps.

Both purchased from Myer. The coat is Piper and the pumps are Miss Shop.

First time wearing the coast was to a day of meetings. I wore it two ways.

I flipped the collar up, so there was full coverage (which what this season is also all about!). Absolutely loved this look.

Adjusted collar and wore it traditionally.

Next up is to wear the coat as a coat!
